As a dedicated educator with 14 years of experience, I'm passionate about nurturing young minds and guiding them through their educational journey. My teaching philosophy centers around patience, kindness, and a genuine care for each child's unique needs and potential.

My extensive background includes working with young children, specifically those aged 2-5 years old. In Cleveland, I served as a Lead Teacher at the Heights Learning Center, where I had the privilege of developing a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program within my classroom. This role allowed me to work closely with parents, helping each child thrive precisely where they were, setting realistic goals and challenges tailored to their individual needs. My collaborative approach also contributed to shaping the school's broader educational direction.

Upon moving to Mount Vernon, I further honed my expertise working at East Knox in a Neurodiverse classroom for ages 6-10 years old. This invaluable experience taught me the profound skill of connection and solidified my passion for how I could best support and empower the community through education. Complementing this, for the past four years, I've also proudly served within the Knox County Education Department as an Assistant Teacher, Substitute Teacher, and Substitute Assistant Teacher, working extensively with school-aged children across various settings.

At Mindful Hearts Tutoring, the company I founded, we specialize in providing personalized educational services to K-5th grade children, including those in the autism and ADHD communities. With a strong background in child psychology, child development, and behavioral training, I bring a wealth of expertise to every session. My goal is to create a learning experience that truly connects with your child, building on their unique strengths and helping them navigate challenges with confidence.

I hold an Associate of Science degree and have pursued extensive additional education and certifications across the education sector. I believe that understanding developmental growth in early childhood is key to effective teaching. That's why I've dedicated a significant part of my training to specialized coursework in Early Childhood Education, giving me deep insights into how young minds learn and grow.

My commitment to your child's success doesn't stop there. I am constantly updating my skills through ongoing certifications and education in Autism, ADHD, and general education. I rely on verified state and government resources to ensure I'm always up-to-date with the best practices.
